Former Lagos State Governor, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been sworn in as the 16th president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at a ceremony at the Eagles Square in Abuja on Monday.
His Vice, Sen. Kashim Shettima was also sworn in by the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola
Tinubu was declared winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential poll having polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 6,984,520 votes and Peter Obi of the Labour Party who came third with a total of 6,101,533 votes.
The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by many world leaders, diplomats and captain of industries.
