The 21-year-old Arsenal winger got into Nigeria on Wednesday in a visit to his ancestral home.
In a video making rounds on the social media, Saka was seen being milled around by many admirers who were shouting his name “Bukayo, Bukayo” as he made his way out of the Muritala Mohammad International Airport in Lagos.
Although the purpose of Saka’s visit remains unknown, it could not be unconnected with an effort to reconnect with his origin.
Many also suggest that Saka’s voyage to Nigeria would also serve as a period of holiday after the end of the regular season in Europe.
Bukayo Saka had an impressive season for Arsenal and was outstanding for the club in their quest to win the English premier league which they eventually lost out on.
