Nigeria’s Flying Eagles arrive from Argentina

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have arrived in the country following their participation at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

The players and the officials of the team  flew into Abuja on Thursday afternoon via Ethiopian Airlines.

Recall that the team was defeated by Korea republic 1 nil in the quarterfinal match played on Sunday at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades in Santiago del Estero.

In the 6th minute of extra-time, Korean’s stunned Nigeria when Choi Seok-Hyun headed home a Lee-Seung-Won corner-kick.

The Flying Eagles have made it to the final of the U-20 World Cup twice in the past and has finished second in twice, first in 1989 and most recently in 2005
