The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, arrested five suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos.
This was revealed in a post by EFCC on its Twitter page on Thursday.
The suspects, which include Tamaraemi Akpoviri, Jonathan Oshioke Okhumode, Jordan O. Clifford, Okorie J. Christian and Enabule Peace Osaro, were arrested by the anti-graft operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command, during an operation at the Buena Vista Estate, Orchid Road, Lekki area of Lagos State, following an intelligence report.
Items recovered from the suspects, at the point of arrest, include exotic cars, mobile devices, and laptop computers.
EFCC stated that the suspects have volunteered their statements and will be charged in court once investigations are concluded.
