Nigeria Needs more Female farmers – Dr Yetunde Adeniji

Earlier today, the Special Adviser to the Speaker of The House of Representatives, Dr Yetunde Adeniji speaking at the Inaugural launch of the SheFarmers Initiative with the Theme ‘Embracing Technology: Panacea for Sustainalbe Agricultural Development for Women in Rural Areas’ said she would push for the inclusion of more women in the Agricultural sector of Nigeria as they are the foundation of the family.

The event which held at the Community Hall of the Arts and Culture Center, Garki also had in attendance His Royal Majesty Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa the Ona of Abaji, Retired AIG Alhaji Aminu Saleh and other notable dignitaries.

Also speaking at the event, the North Central Coordinator of the group, Hajia Ladi Suleiman expressed their congratulatory message to the Speaker on his emergence and prayed for future engagements with his office.

A lot of women farmers were in attendance and knowledge amd methodologies for modern farming were exchanged. The challenges facing women farmers and ways to curb them were also discussed
