The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the re-emergence of Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Governor of Lagos State.
Justice Garba Lawal who read the lead judgment dismissed the appeal filed by Mr Rhodes-Vivour for lacking merit.
He added that the deputy governor was duly qualified to contest the election.
With the ruling, the Supreme Court has slammed the final blow on the quest of LP and Rhodes-Vivour to upturn the convincing victory of Sanwo-Olu and his running mate, Dr. Kadiri Hamzat.
Also, the apex court also threw out the appeal filed by Abdulazeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election.
The court ruled that Jandor’s argument was a pre-election issue and ought not to have been brought before the tribunal
