Senate President Godswill Akpabio has affirmed that the Senate would approve the procurement of a new presidential jet if requested by President Bola Tinubu. Speaking during today’s plenary session, Akpabio clarified that while there currently is no formal request for such approval before the Senate, they remain committed to facilitating initiatives that enhance the welfare of Nigerians.
“We are focused on approving measures that improve the quality of life for Nigerians and uphold the responsibilities of the President,” Akpabio stated. He dismissed speculative reports, emphasizing that any future requests concerning the presidential fleet would be thoroughly evaluated by the Senate in line with their responsibility to govern effectively.
