The Kwara Progressive Congress (KPC), a group under the All Progressives Congress (APC), held an interfaith prayer session on Sunday for the 16 chairmanship and 193 councillorship candidates contesting in the upcoming local government elections.
Alfa Jejelaye and Pastor Mrs. Iyabo led the prayer, seeking Almighty protection for the candidates and praying for victory at the polls.
Mallam Babatunde Yusuf, state chairman of KPC, emphasized the importance of prayer, saying, “Prayer is the key to whatever human beings will do, and with prayer, everything will be alright.
The group plans to inaugurate its campaign council committee on Wednesday, which will canvas votes for APC candidates across the state.
Hon. Ayobami Oladipupo, women leader of the group, highlighted the achievements of Governor AbdulRazaq, stating that they are enough reason for Kwarans to vote for all APC chairmanship and councillorship candidates.
