Naming Ceremony: Islamic Leaders, Dignitaries gather to celebrate Shaikh Daud Alasiri’s Newborn

The compound of Oluwagbemi situated in the city of Ilorin, Kwara State, played host to prominent Islamic scholars and personalities who gathered to celebrate the naming ceremony of popular Ilorin Shaikh Daud Alasiri’s newborn baby.

The joyous event, which took place amidst colourful arrangements, drew notable figures from the Islamic community, who came to felicitate with the esteemed Shaikh and his family.

The event featured, the recitation from the holy Quran, Modiyu Nabiy and lecture from prominent Islamic Scholar, Shaikh, Dr Monsuri Alabidun.

The prayer of the naming of the newborn baby was led by Chief Imam Adewole, Aminulahi Abdulmalik.

The chief Imam of Adewole led the parent, family, relatives, friends and other congregation in the prayer.

While delivering his lecture, renowned Islamic scholar, Shaikh Dr. Alabidun, charged parents to be good role models to their children. He emphasized the importance of instilling moral values and Islamic principles in the younger generation.

“Parents have a sacred responsibility to shape the future of their children, by being exemplary role models, they can inspire their children to become responsible and virtuous citizens,” Dr. Alabidun said.

The naming ceremony, which was conducted in accordance with Islamic traditions, was a celebration of life, faith, and community. Guests were treated to inspirational speeches, prayers, and traditional Islamic music.

Shaikh Daud Alasiri expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and well-wishers for their presence, saying, “This gathering is a testament to the strength of our community and the importance of family in Islam.”

The event served as a reminder of the significance of family values, faith, and community in Islamic culture.

Prominent attendees included prominent business man Alhaji Abdul Wasiu, Chairman Road Oloje Unit, Alhaji Ambali, Alhaji Mubashir Khalifa Yazali Jalaly Wali Ikram, Alhaji Haffiz, and media personality Sola Seriki, among others.

The naming ceremony was a heartwarming celebration of life, love, and faith, and a testament to the strong bonds within the Islamic community in Ilorin.
