The Ilorin Royal Lions Club, has concluded plans to hold her September programme tagged Pad Up Girls with the theme: “Empowering Girls, Enriching Communities, in Ilorin.
This hint was dropped by Lion Ammies Ogunleye, the National Lions Charity Foundation (NLCF) Service Chairperson 2024/2025, on Thursday in Ilorin.
According to her, the programme is billed to hold on Friday (tomorrow) at Government Day Secondary School, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital will begin from 8.30am prompt.
The programme is one of the yearly activities of Ilorin Royal Lions Club to fulfill one of its mandates of humanitarian service to the immediate communities and beyond.
She said, “We are thrilled to invite you to participate in the “Pad Up Girls” project, a rewarding service activity aimed at providing sanitary pads and promoting menstrual health awareness among underprivileged girls”.
In inviting fellow partners, Ogunleye said, “Let’s come together to: distribute sanitary pads to needy girls; conduct menstrual health workshops and inspire confidence and self-esteem.”
While encouraging the partners for wholesome participation, said their involvement will enhance the well-being of young girls; foster a sense of community good living and embodiment the Lions’ spirit of service, she concluded.
