NDLEA arrest two women for selling drug-laced cupcakes in Ilorin

In a shocking turn of events, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested two individuals, Khadijat Abdulraheem, a fresh graduate and Ayomide Morakinyo, a student of the University of Ilorin on December 29, 2024.

THE PRIME NEWS gathered that the duo was apprehended at Oke-Odo, Tanke area of Ilorin, for allegedly producing and selling drug-laced cupcakes to students.

According to sources, the NDLEA operatives had been monitoring the activities of the suspects before making the arrest.

The incident has raised concerns about the increasing involvement of young people in the production and distribution of illicit substances.

The NDLEA has vowed to continue its efforts to curb the spread of drug abuse and trafficking in the country.

Further investigation is ongoing, and the suspects are expected to face charges in court.
