Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has declared his team’s readiness for battle against the Amavubi of Rwanda.
The Malian will lead the Super Eagles for the first time in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Adel Amrouche’s side at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali Rwanda on Friday.
The Super Eagles are yet to record a win in the qualifiers after four matches.
Chelle said his team is ready to end the barren streak.
“They have a new coach, they want to win and we also want to win. We are ready,” the 47-year-old said at the pre-match press conference.
“We must focus on our game, we have a great squad. We must work hard. What we do with the ball and off the ball will be important. We are focusing on our preparation and we will be ready.”
Chelle said they are firmly focused on the game and not the other fixtures in the group.
“I just want to be with my players, I want my players to focus on this game and after that, we will see the other games. We need to win this game,” he added.
