Gov AbdulRazaq celebrates UNILORIN Math Prodigy as Guinness World Records reviews 31-Hour Marathon Lesson

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq joins the academic community to celebrate a 400-level mathematics student of the University of Ilorin Sanusi Akanbi Kazeem who has just held a marathon 31-hour,42-minute, and 54-second mathematics lesson.

Upon verification by the Guinness World Records, Kazeem is in the wings to become the new record holder for the longest mathematics instruction. The current record is 26-hour.

Governor AbdulRazaq commends Kazeem’s determination to register his name on the world map, a feat the Governor says has stood him out for greatness.

The Governor similarly congratulates the parents, guardians, tutors of Kazeem, as well as the University of Ilorin on the remarkable feat.

“Kazeem has exhibited not just brilliance and capacity; his achievement is, in fact, a rare act of bravery, resilience, and can-do spirit. Whatever the decision of the Guinness World Records, we celebrate the Maths nerd for his efforts and his determination to be great,” the Governor says.

“His story again demonstrates to all, especially younger ones, that outliers are those who have been given opportunities — and who have had the strength and presence of mind to seize them.”
