Kora Sabi: Running on Experience and Track Records

The track records of Hon. Aliyu Kora Sabi, the Honorable Commissioner of Transportation in Kwara State in close to six years is enough proof to earn him a continuous stay in this administration.

Kora Sabi, an exemplary public sector reformer and astute politician, known for his love and passion for the public service, has shown leadership in Kwara by giving the state a great deal in Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s steering the ship of Kwara State in the right direction.

Having travices about three ministries as a Commissioner, and having worked closely with Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, (CON), in various capacities, Kora Sabi understands the State and the various challenges facing it’s people.

Perhaps I ask, ‘what distinguished a public servant’? The civil service or public servant is a collective term for a sector of government composed mainly of career in civil service personnel hired rather than elected, whose institutional tenure typically survives transitions of political leadership.

He is a person employed in the public sector by a government department or agency for public sector undertakings. Civil servants work for central and local governments, and answerable to the government, not a political party.

Without being unequivocal, Hon. Kora Aliyu Sabi is a prototype of an enigma who is reputed for his people-centered ideology. His foray into public service started after decades of accomplishments in the private sector.
This accomplished private sector expert, whose innovative mind quickly established as an exemplary public sector reformer, He is a public servant of note, who strongly believes that efficient public service is vital to a well-functioning state that maximises its developmental caprices.

It is unexpected that Kora Sabi’s enterprising career in the private sector, defining roles in public service and selfless contributions to the society would not have attracted international recognitions and accolades at home. But as a man attired in modesty, these my piece would be an encouragement that keep him on the path of service to Allah, and humanity. A devout Muslim and family-focused man whose marriage is blessed with lovely children.

As Commissioner for Transportation in Kwara State, Hon. Lafia Aliyu Kora Sabi is a celebrated public servant of our time. A grassroot mobilizer, active politician, webbs with community leadership wizardry at the same time, a stakeholder in Kwara project.

Hon. Sabi is a humanist personified, a prototypical paradigm. A reservoir of brilliancy and merit driven. He has brought his experience to bear on all the positions he held over the years. The Yashikira Prince believes that once you are called upon to occupy an exalted position, it means you are called to serve your people and not lord yourself over them.

As esthwhile Executive Chairman of Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State. He worked tirelessly to bring dividends of democracy to doorsteps of his people. It’s records are immaculate and point of reference. He graduated from that position to become commissioner at the state level, since the advent of this APC administration,

He has worked in four ministries, namely, Energy, Local Government and Chieftaincy matters, Budget and Planning now, Transportation. The Hon. Commissioner possesses several qualities which makes him to be relevant in the scheme of things and suited to be a state policy maker and implementor.

To begin with, he is a quiet worker, senior party man, reliable, disciplined and highly responsible. He has consistently shown that he has what it takes to lead and manage responsibilities/policy thrust/diligence. He is merit driven, result oriented and needs little supervision in attaining his goals. Aliyu Kora Sabi is a brilliant administrator.

He involves all his colleagues, no matter the rank, so long as he can get the best out of them. There are testimonies that this type of rare leadership is upheld by all and sundry. If there is anything that makes Hon. Aliyu Kora Sabi thick is his believe in self confidence, The believes made him choose to serve his people, state and the nation as a public servant who believes he can stay above corruption.

A compassionate family man with manifest devotion to families and friends. A news and home maker, distinguished philanthropist of note and kind helper of the vulnerable, needy, less privileges, widows. He holds the Traditional title of Ciroma Daasi of Yashikira Emirate in Kwara North axis of Kwara State.

He is an active politician in the entire Kwara North, in the State and indeed in the north central zone of Nigeria. He is one of the trusted aide and foot soldier of Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. By way of advice, Hon. Aliyu Kora Sabi should consider having a foundation that will look into how his people least in Baruten/Kaiama cocoon can have more access to Education, Health and portable water.

These are basic necessities of life that in this century should be made available at a short distance, doing this, he will be complementing state government efforts. As an active politician and high traditional title holder, he should be at the forefront of bringing development(s) and growth to his area. Research shows that Hon. Aliyu Kora Sabi has the backing of his people at home (Baruten/Kaiama axis) and here in Ilorin (state capital) believes he has all it takes to continue to lead and represent them at various levels of governance now and in future.

He once said, “Alhamdulillah-Kasira, I thanked my Oga, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, (CON), for the opportunity to serve in his cabinet, I am highly humbled and honoured. I remain stoically committed to my assignment. I appreciate my people (back home) for the confidence and loyalty to the APC led administration since year 2019 and I assure them that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Chairman, Nigeria Governors forum (NGF) will continue to deliver dividends of democracy to their doorsteps. What I expect from my people is disciplined followership always”.

An avid Art collector who loves photography. A compassionate family man, whose hobbies includes reading, meeting people and exchanging ideas. He held on to himself with dignity and unbending purpose to improve his people’s social and economic life.

He is a courageous man, a stickler for excellence, a rare asset, and adorable gift to mankind. Hon. Lafia Aliyu Kora Sabi is indeed worthy in character, a celebrated public servant and exemplary in his activities and endeavors.
