PRESS RELEASE: Defend our nascent democracy – Kwara Commissioner to Politicians, Stakeholders, Media

Hon. Commissioner for Transport & a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Alhaji Hon. Lafia Aliyu Kora Sabi, aka LAKS has advised critical stakeholders especially the political class and media not to abdicate their roles of nurturing and defending the civil rule, which he described as the best form of governance worldwide.

Speaking on the current uninterrupted democracy since May 29th 1999 (26 years) in the Country, the APC chieftain particularly asked the media to continue to be the watchdog of the society and promote the noble ideals of democracy in face of current overwhelming challenges.

Hon. Lafia Aliyu Kora Sabi called on Kwarans to continue to support Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in his quest to make the state better than he met it, “His monumental achievements are obvious, stable political life, empowerment of women and youths, improved economic wellbeing of citizens, security of lives and properties in nooks and crannies of the State with respect and recognition to the traditional institution and providing enabling conducive environment for teaching, learning and research work in all our tertiary institutions, etc.

The amiable Politician and Community leader stated further, “we can only continue to grow our democracy to greater heights like other states in the country with visible democratic dividends that are multi-beneficial to our society, assuring that Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will deliver on his popular mandate”.

Hon. Sabi Kora Aliyu Lafia, who holds the traditional title of Ciroma Daarari of Yashikira Emirate in Baruten LGA of Kwara North Senatorial District is a standing Pillar for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara North Axis of the State says, “God is happy with APC administration in Kwara State and the Federal level, saying the APC led administration is solving mirage of problems to make Nigerians prosperous and economically flourishing.”
