2027: North-East APC declares support for Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Bid

The North-East chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has thrown its full support behind the Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was formally announced on Sunday during the North-East APC Consultative Meeting held in Gombe, the capital of Gombe State.

The high-profile event drew a large turnout of party faithful, including Governors Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, and Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State. Senior party leaders and stakeholders from across the zone were also in attendance.

The forum praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for what they described as transformational leadership in the short time they have been in office, driven by the administration’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.

In his address, Governor Zulum highlighted key achievements of the current administration over the past two years, particularly in sectors such as health, education, youth and women empowerment, revenue generation, and overall improvement in citizens’ welfare.

He emphasised that continuity of the Tinubu/Shettima ticket in 2027 would sustain the ongoing progress and national unity.

Party leaders at the meeting urged Nigerians to stand behind the APC and a leadership they believe is committed to unity, growth, and a prosperous future for the nation.

Among other dignitaries present were the APC National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; Deputy National Chairman (North), Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori; and several other senior members of the party.
