The Oro Community in lrepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State has mourned the passing of a patriot, Alhaji Chief Yusuf Amuda Bamidele Olota, who breathed his last on Wednesday, 13th August, 2025 at the age of 92.
The community in a statement released by the National President of Oro Community Association Prof Bababode James Bojuwoye through the National Publicity Secretary, Adebayo Olodan, described the deceased as a foremost educationist and a devoted Muslim who was committed to the advancement of Oro, Igbomina Land and Kwara State at large.
Speaking, Bojuwoye, a Professor of Medicine said, “We received with heavy hearts, the news of the passing of Alhaji Chief Amuda Bamidele Olota on Wednesday.

“Alhaji A.B Olota was a dedicated community leader, a politician of repute and an educationist who made immeasurable impacts in our community, lgbomina Land and our dear State.
“Alhaji was always available for the cause of Oro, Igbomina Land and Islam and in recognition of his commitment to his religion, Alhaji Olota was appointed a member of Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board under the administration of Governor Mohammed Lawal.
“Alhaji Chief Amuda Olota, who is the Otun Baba Adinni of Oro Muslim Community will be missed by both the young and old in our community. We however pray to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljanah Firdaous and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
Meanwhile, the Fidau of Alhaji Olota who has been buried according to Islamic injunctions will take place at Kaa-Olota, Olukotun Compound, Oro, on Saturday.
