On Tuesday, August 12, Nigerian businessman Ahmad Lawal appeared on Channels Television’s Business Morning program, where he called on Nigerians to shift from being primarily consumers to becoming creators of world-class enterprises.
Speaking during the interview, Lawal emphasized the importance of building ventures that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with global corporations, stressing that the future of Nigeria’s economy depends on innovation, creativity, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
He also underscored the value of collaboration over competition, urging Nigerian entrepreneurs and business leaders to pool resources, knowledge, and expertise in order to create stronger, more impactful businesses.

According to him, “The path to prosperity lies in creating solutions that the world can reckon with, not just consuming what others produce.”
Lawal, who has interests across multiple industries including media, beauty, fashion, hospitality, and sports, continues to champion entrepreneurship as a key driver of Nigeria’s economic growth and global relevance.
