Jerome Akor Adams has been ruled out of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa with injury, THE PRIME NEWS reports.
Adams sustained a muscle injury to his left thigh in Sevilla’s home defeat against Getafe last weekend.
Sevilla announced on Wednesday that he will miss Saturday’s LaLiga clash with Girona.
The 25-year-old was named in Nigeria’s provisional squad for the games with Amavubi and Bafana Bafana last week.
It was the forward’s maiden invitation by the three-time African champions.
Adams has struggled to stay fit since joining Sevilla from Ligue 1 club, Montpellier in January.
