Worried by the country’s incessant security challenges, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has trained its senior officers in executive capacity building to tackle complex security issues.
The training, held yesterday with the theme, ‘Managing fast-paced security challenges in a protracted conflict environment’, was organised by The society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP).
At the event, the inspector-general of police (IGP) Kayode Egbetukun said, “The theme of this workshop speaks directly to the “paradox of our times; conflicts that stretch across years, yet change form and intensity daily.

“We face adversaries who are not only persistent but adaptive. Criminal syndicates exploit technology to expand their reach. Terrorist networks rebrand and reorganise to avoid defeat. Local conflicts, once contained, now spill across borders, amplified by social media and transnational alliances.
This complexity demands more from us than courage alone. It demands foresight, creativity and the agility to lead in an environment of constant flux.
