Iyabo Ojo welcomes Priscilla, Juma Jux, son to Nigeria

Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, and her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, have returned to Nigeria with their newborn son, Rakeem. The family’s arrival was marked by a grand celebration hosted by Iyabo Ojo, featuring traditional drummers, singing, and dancing.

In a video shared on Iyabo Ojo’s Instagram page on Tuesday, captioned “Welcome to Nigeria #rakeem_mk”, friends and family gathered to welcome the couple home. Priscilla, visibly emotional, appeared surprised as she walked into the festive atmosphere, while Juma Jux proudly carried baby Rakeem in his arms.

Joining in the celebration, entrepreneur and Priscilla’s godmother, Chioma Ikokwu, popularly known as Chioma GoodHair, commented under the post, “My prince is here.”

She also revealed in her Instagram story that Priscilla had called her from the United States to share the news, writing, “Priscilla called me in America and said, ‘Godmama, I’m bringing your godson to you in Lagos,’ and I said yes!”

The homecoming follows an extravagant 40-day celebration and naming ceremony for baby Rakeem held earlier this month in Tanzania. The couple, beaming with joy, were seen in videos warmly greeting guests as Juma danced energetically to the beat of traditional drums.

Priscilla also shared clips of their journey from Tanzania to Nigeria on her Instagram story, expressing gratitude to her mother and godmother. “Rakeem is lucky. Thank you, Glamma and Godmother #iyaboojofespris and #chiomagoodhair,” she wrote.

THE PRIME NEWS reports that Priscilla Ojo welcomed her baby boy in Canada on August 24, 2025. Afterwards, she returned to Tanzania, where her husband, Juma Jux, organised a grand reception in their honour.

The Lagos celebration marks baby Rakeem’s first visit to Nigeria, a moment filled with music, love, and family joy.
