Eight countries, including Nigeria and Ghana, have progressed to the final round of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
This follows the conclusion of Saturday’s third round qualifying fixtures place in various grounds across Africa.
THE PRIME NEWS reports that Nigeria’s Falconets defeated Senegal 2-1 in the second leg of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup third qualifying round tie on Saturday night to advance to the next stage.

Moses Aduku’s side won the contest against Senegal 3-1 on aggregate.
Similarly, Ghana’s Black Princesses secured their place in the final round of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after beating South Africa 1-0 in Nelspruit, sealing a 3-2 aggregate victory.
This means that Ghana and Nigeria have now joined the likes of Uganda, Malawi, Cameroon, Tanzania, Cote d’Ivoire and the Benin Republic in the final round of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
