Public Rejoinder: Refuting baselless allegations against Prof. Wale Sulaiman by a Faceless Olaosebikan Ganiyu

Our attention has been drawn to a misleading and unsubstantiated online publication circulating in certain quarters alleging that Prof. Wale Sulaiman, sponsored a planned protest in Irepodun Local Government Council Hall purportedly linked to some political actors.

The publication, credited to one Olaosebikan Ganiyu from Omu-Aran Ward 2, who claims to be writing on behalf of an unnamed “Concerned APC Member,” is not only faceless but also riddled with false claims, mischief, and deliberate attempts to malign the reputation of a respected leader.

We wish to state unequivocally that Prof. Wale Sulaiman, CON, a prominent chieftain of the Kwara All Progressives Congress (APC), has no connection whatsoever with the alleged protest in the publication.

Prof. Wale Sulaiman has consistently demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the unity, stability, and progress of the APC in Kwara State and Nigeria at large. At various fora, he has openly advocated for peace, internal cohesion and respect for party structures and leadership.

It is therefore both unfortunate and irresponsible for any individual or group to attempt to drag his name into a baseless narrative designed to create unnecessary tension within the party at this critical time.

We also find it necessary to correct the false assertion describing Prof. Wale Sulaiman as a “former SDP decampee.” This claim is entirely false, misleading, and without any basis in fact.

Prof. Sulaiman and his political associates are registered and active members of the All Progressives Congress, with no affiliation or political linkage with the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Such claims are therefore null, void and irrelevant within the context of Kwara APC politics.

While we understand that the political atmosphere is gradually gathering momentum, particularly as 2027 elections approach, it is important to caution individuals and groups against fanning the embers of cheap propaganda, blackmail and misinformation. Politics should be conducted with integrity, responsibility and respect for truth.

Prof. Wale Sulaiman remains committed to the ideals of the APC and continues to support every effort aimed at strengthening party unity and collective progress in Kwara State.

The Kwara APC family remains strong and united, guided by a shared commitment to solidarity, discipline, and loyalty to the leadership of the party.

We therefore urge party members and the general public to disregard the said publication in its entirety, as it is the handiwork of mischief makers seeking attention through falsehood. The reward for mischief is constant ridicule.
