Ridwan Mustapha and Abubakar Aliyu have secured another gold medal for Team Kwara in the Para table tennis doubles (boys) at the 8th National Youth Games (NYG24) in Asaba. This victory further elevates Team Kwara’s impressive performance in the competition.
The duo staged a remarkable comeback to defeat their Osun State counterparts by 3-2 sets in a tense and thrilling match.
Coach Rasheed Yusuf expressed gratitude to God for the achievement and thanked the Kwara Sports Commission for creating an enabling environment that helped prepare the team for the competition.
He emphasized that with better equipment, the duo could maintain their momentum and continue excelling.
“My dream is to see the boys compete in the next National Sports Festival,” he added.
