Kwara Kiddies League shortlists Six Prodigies for August Player of the Month Award

The Kwara Kiddies League has announced its nominees for the U14 Player of the Month award for August 2024. Six exceptional young players have been shortlisted for their outstanding performances.

Umar Abubakar, goalkeeper for Koller FA, impressed with five clean sheets in six games, conceding only two goals in the last match of the month.
Similarly, Adeleke Isaiah of KFA also kept five clean sheets, with one as a second-half substitute, and conceded just one goal.

Eko Martins, center back for KFA, demonstrated his versatility by scoring four goals and maintaining five clean sheets. His goals included two in a 3-0 win, one in a 1-0 win, and one in a 3-1 victory.

Azeez Afeez, defensive midfielder for Afrikan Kiddies FA, showcased his skills with two goals and four clean sheets. He scored crucial goals in his team’s 1-0 wins.

Sheu Abdulraheem, forward for Busari FA, netted three goals and provided one assist. His notable performances included scoring two goals and one assist in a 3-1 win.

Tobi Adeoye, forward for Koller FA, topped the scoring chart with seven goals. His impressive tally included two goals in 4-0 wins (twice), one goal in a 3-0 win, and one goal in a 2-2 draw.

Lastly, Abdulhameed Yunus, also a forward for Koller FA, contributed three goals and one assist. His notable performances included scoring in a 4-0 win, a 3-0 win, and a 2-2 draw.

These talented young players have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication to their teams. The winner of the Player of the Month award will be eagerly anticipated.

Voting Process

The winner will be determined through a combined voting process involving the league board, coaches and fans. The league board’s vote will account for 50% of the total score, while the coaches’ votes will contribute 30%, and the fans’ votes will make up the remaining 20%.

Fans are encouraged to vote on the Kwara Kiddies League’s official website and social media channels. Voting will be opened on Tuesday, September 24 and close on Thursday, September 26, 2024, with the winner set to be announced on Saturday, September 28, 2024, by 11:15 am.
