The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State Command on Monday, February 17, 2025.
CP Jimoh, a seasoned police officer from Ilorin, Kwara State, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Prior to his appointment, he served as Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority, Eastern Ports.
His impressive resume also includes stints as Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner, Airport Police, Deputy Commissioner, Finance and Administration, and Deputy Commissioner, General Investigation.
A highly trained officer, CP Jimoh has undergone various professional training programs, including combat operations, African Union Mission in Darfur, Sudan, and training on social construction and management reform at the China Executive Leadership Academy, Pudong, China.
THE PRIME NEWS gathered that he has also received training on maritime rescue and salvage, anti-hijacking techniques and tactics, and has attended the Police Training Institute in Seoul, South Korea.
CP Jimoh’s outstanding contributions to law enforcement and public relations have earned him several commendations, including the Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
The appointment was finalized after CP Jimoh appeared before the Police Service Commission, which was presided over by Chairman DIG Hashimu Argungu, alongside other senior officials, including Justice Adamu Paul Galmuje, retired Justice of the Supreme Court, and DIG Taiwo Lakanu.
