Nigeria’s Abiodun wins Mister Cosmopolitan Africa 2025

The 2025 Mister Cosmopolitan Nigeria, Godwin Awaji-Iroso Abiodun, failed to advance to Top five at the international Mister Cosmopolitan 2025 competition in Bangkok, after officially sashed Mister Cosmopolitan Africa.

The grand finale of Mister Cosmopolitan 2025 was held on Sunday at Siam Fantasy, Asiatique, Bangkok, featuring top contestants from across the globe.

The event followed a structured programme that included an opening introduction of all candidates, a swimwear segment for the top 18 contestants, Top 10 and Top 5 announcements, formal wear showcases, final speeches, special awards presentations, and the crowning of winners.

Abiodun, a creative designer and former Mister Rivers State University student 2023/2024, impressed viewers with his elegance in the Black Tuxedo Round, a segment highlighting formal wear.

Despite making Top 10 and awarded Best in Formal Wear, he could not proceed with the paegent after he was titled Mister Cosmopolitan Africa.

However, Sandile Christo Gama of South Africa, who made the Top five list emerged second runner-up in the competition, after a Filipino won first runner-up.

Gama was also named Best Swimwear at the grand finale.

The overall title of Mister Cosmopolitan 2025 went to Shawn Lin Yu Hsiang, who represented Taiwan.

The top five finalists included the top four contestants, plus the fan vote winner, who delivered final speeches before the winners were announced.

Although Abiodun did not advance to the qualifying Top 5, his achievement as Mister Cosmopolitan Africa highlighted Nigeria’s continued presence and excellence on the continental stage.

THE PRIME NEWS had reported that Abiodun previously won the Best Physique award during the preliminary rounds on Friday at MBK Centre, Bangkok, confirming his standout performance throughout the competition.
