Fire Guts shop in Kwara

A mini shop complex at Sabo-Oke,Fufu street, Ilorin, Kwara State has been gutted by fire as a result of a sudden spark in the electricity wire in one of the shops.

According to a neighbour in the street, ‘a man had noticed the fire coming from one of the shops situated in the area, and immediately cried out and alerted other neighbours in the street.”

These neighbours forcefully broke into one of the shops, to stop the raging fire with buckets of water before the arrival of the Fire Service around 6:05 a.m.

Eye witness accounts say about three shops in the complex are burnt to an unrecognized state.
