The traditional ruler of Odo Owa, Oke Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba Joshua Adeyemi Adimula has fired back at the Iwarefa Odo Owa and League of Afin Princes and Princesses describing them as faceless groups in the community.
The development was coming after the said group had gone on media to allegedly attack the monarch personality and to cast doubt on the credibility of his 10th year coronation anniversary celebration scheduled to hold weekend.
Oloota urged the people not to adhere to what comes from them saying they did not meant well for Odo Owa.

Oloota condemned the groups for going on media to instigate members of the community, particularly those he planned to honour with awards against him.
He said the two groups are not known to Odo Owa cultural background and they cannot be speaking for the community which he’s overseeing as the monarch.
He added that the celebration of his forthcoming anniversary was in accordance with the knowledge of the relevant stakeholders in the community, including the council chairman and the Executive Governor of the state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON.
He said, “My deserved attention has been drawn to the public announcement written by a faceless group nicknamed ‘Iwarefa of Odo Owa’ and another one referred to as ‘league of the Afin Princes and princesses’ on my forthcoming 10th year coronation anniversary scheduled to be held on Saturday 13th December, 2025.
“To put the record straight, there is indeed no council of Iwarefa in Odo Owa, Such name is alien to our traditions and culture, There is also no ‘League of Princes and Princesses’ What we have in the royal family is “OMO ILE AAFIN”.
“My tenth year coronation anniversary is not a thing be done without proper consultation about the important aspects of our traditions. The Odo Owa Council of Chiefs is led by the High Chief (Prof). Joseph Oladele Kehinde, the Ologbo of Odo Owa are part of the plans for the ceremony and are graciously endorsed and blessed by them.
The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, is also aware, the State commissioner of police is aware, likewise all sister security agencies.
“I am a second class Chief and honouring deserving individuals with chieftaincy titles is a direct prerogative of my office. We are honouring deserving individuals that have contributed immensely to the growth and development of Odo Owa. I remain peaceful and resolute in my administration.
