Olododo: Our Birthday Boy, celebrating an icon who exemplifies loyalty, patriotism, excellence, integrity, service to humanity

Monday, 5th January, 2026 was another Birthday of our amiable and outstanding public servant, Engr. Abdulquawiy Damilola Olododo, the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Kwara State.

For the birthday boy, it was another opportunity to give praises to his creator, his staff, friends, colleagues and well wishers, who took to various channels/social, as well as traditional media to celebrate him. This writer was reliably informed that earlier in the day, prayers were offered in the family compound to appreciate Almighty Allah for the life of the committed technocrat and performer. The life of the celebrant can be described of a blueprint of what a model public servant should be in Nigeria and anywhere in the world.

His journey into politics, governance and service to humanity reflects an unwavering commitment to visible improvements in road infrastructure and public works across the state of harmony. A very young vibrant Engineer and administrator who supervises eight hundred and seventy one kilometre (871km) of works across the state under the wise guidance of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak (CON), Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate.

This is very impressive and encouraging. This Journalist wants to put it on record that Engr. Abdulquawiy Damilola Oladodo’s dedication, professional and attention with continuous monitoring of all the projects reflect the role of infrastructure in driving economic growth, improving livelihoods and enhancing public confidence in governance. The Hon. Commissioner for works has distinguished himself as a diligent and result oriented public servant. His antecedents/contributions in Kwara State in road network inter-connectivity and infrastructure align strongly with the development vision of the APC led administration in the state of harmony. In politics, this young gentleman is a loyal party man, good team player, a patient and listening community leader and APC Ambassador who work to strengthen the foundation and growth of development in the state. To the glory of Almighty Allah, he has served the state and humanity creditably and excellently in various capacities, his records are immaculate, excellent and his years ahead in service will record greater milestone, Insha Allah (Amin).

What really compelled me to write this piece, the celebrant’s comportment, courage, self respect, self motivation, attention, ability to keep his head above waters and qualitative leadership deserves my attention to put pen to paper to spotlight Engr. Abdulquawiy Damilola Olododo, Hon. Commissioner for Works.

This journalist joins his immediate families, friends, well wishers and staff in his ministry in celebrating an icon whose life story exemplifies loyalty, patriotism, excellence, integrity and service to humanity.

Happy Birthday to Omoluabi personified, Aare Omoloju Oba of Ojoku land and Oloye Soludero of Okeya-ipo, many happy returns of the day in good health, longer life, continued success in his service to Kwara State and its people.
