Yinka Quadri to spotlight Igbomina heritage at book launch

Veteran Nollywood actor and cultural icon, Alhaji Yinka Quadri, is set to serve as the Distinguished Guest of Honour at the forthcoming launch of the book “Igbomina Owo Ni Ẹ jẹ: From Imperialism to Migration.”

The highly anticipated event is expected to bring together sons and daughters of Igbominaland, alongside friends and admirers, in a celebration of the rich heritage, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit of the Igbomina people.

In his message ahead of the occasion, Quadri called for unity and strong participation, urging stakeholders to take pride in the enduring legacy and cultural identity of the Igbomina nation.

The book launch is poised to be a unique blend of culture and scholarship, offering insights into the history, migration patterns, and socio-economic evolution of the Igbomina people.

Organisers say the event will not only spotlight the historical journey of the people but also showcase their contributions to commerce, culture, and development.

The ceremony is scheduled to hold on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the IVTEC Auditorium, Ajase-Ipo, Kwara State, and is expected to attract dignitaries, academics, cultural enthusiasts, and members of the public.
