‎Engr. Qawiy Olododo: A man of impact

‎The good works of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, (CON), Governor of Kwara State & Chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum, (NGF), in transforming Kwara State can best be viewed through the lens of the Honourable Commissioner of Works, Engineer Abdulquawiy Olododo who pivots the infrastructures, repairs, rehabilitations, reconstruction of roads, projects, health facilities, schools, basic road maintenance in the last three (3) years, from the records, this glorious APC administration in Kwara State in the last Seven (7) years has handled over a hundred (100) projects simultaneously across the three (3) senatorial districts.

These range from urban renewal road projects in Ilorin the State capital as well as strategic rural road projects along the major economic corridors in and outside the town.

‎These are aside over 200 interlocking projects across several communities in the State which are the first of their kinds in the history of Kwara State and the people are happy and better for it.

‎To keep the records straight, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, (CON), who doubles as APC leader in the State has embarked upon more road infrastructure than the combined previous administration since 1999 (882.73km) including the Federal Government Tax Credit Scheme Intervention.

‎Hundreds kilometers of road across the state is completed, ongoing and facilitated through partnerships.

‎The breakdown is as follows, 330.77km of road already completed, 257.96km ongoing including the 209.77km of the RAMP Project and also the 294km of the Federal Government Intervention he facilitated is also going with about 72km of it completed.

‎Resident Engineers are entrusted with supervision and monitoring of projects to enhance quality project delivery to time and specifications, value for money devoid of unnecessary cost of inflation.

‎“To contractor’s performance instruct adherence to specifications and timeliness, accountability is key”, Engr. Olododo once told a Newspaper house.

‎Those who know him will agree with me that Hon. Commissioner for Works in Kwara State, Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo is the epitome of compassion, loyalty, patriotism and selfless service to humanity. This is obvious in all his endeavors/assignments/community service, this is highly commendable and appreciable by all and sundry.

‎As cerebral sage and dependable aide to Mr. Governor, he is very reliable, large hearted and high profile politician, administrator who retained his position as Works Commissioner in the last three (3) years working round the clock to transform the vision and mission of the insightful Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq into reality.

‎He needs to be spotlighted, documented and reference at this point in time and a man of the moment. As a Key-player in all projects of the APC led glorious administration in the State of Harmony.

‎This Journalist is delighted and heart filled with joy to write on legacies, speaking for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration and to put the figures of roads constructed so far by Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration in seven (7) years in terms of productivity, connectivity, agribusiness, tourism and investment to the benefit of Kwarans, 113.57km of roads completed in Kwara Central while 65.5km are ongoing, totaling 179.07km in Kwara Central.

‎In Kwara South, completed 117.74km of roads have been completed, while 96.19km are ongoing, totaling 213.93km. in Kwara North, 99.46km completed while 96.27km are ongoing, totaling 195.73km.

‎Also, the 294km of the Federal Government Tax Credit Scheme Intervention, 252km of it connects the Kwara North Senatorial District up to the boarder of Kwara with Benin Republic through Baruten LGA, while the 42km left connects Kwara Central to Kwara South Senatorial Districts.

‎All put together Kwara North Senatorial District got the highest number of road projects followed by Kwara South Senatorial District.

‎“The impact of road constructions is highly impactful especially to the rural access roads & its’ communities the facilitated tax credit road projects that will improve internal and understate economic movement.

‎Also, is the broader urban renewal and infrastructure agenda, that has changed the narratives in discussions in the society… naturally this builds confidence in continuity and development in the system, “Hon. Abdulquawiy Olododo assured on a radio interactive programme recently.

‎The Youth Ambassador of the State emphasized that Continuity of Progress is unnegotiable. In seven (7) years, Kwarans has seen what focused Leadership can achieve, the task ahead is to deepen that steady progress, project its reforms and keep development people centered while public communication & enlightenment that encourages accountability and feedback is key.

‎Engineer Abdulquawiy Olododo has made a mark in his three (3) years in office while living an amazing lifestyle known for his simple nature, hardwork, self- respect and admired by many for his level of dynamism and entrepreneur with insatiable quest for more achievements.
