OYDEEP celebrates Olomu of Omupo on 16th Coronation Anniversary

The Omupo Youth Digital Economy Empowerment Programme (OYDEEP) has congratulated the Olomu of Omupo, His Royal Highness, Oba Muhammed-Yakubu Adebayo Buhari, Ilufemiloye II, on the occasion of his 16th coronation anniversary, describing his reign as a period marked by peace, unity, cultural preservation, and community development.

In a statement issued to commemorate the milestone, OYDEEP joined sons and daughters of Omupo Kingdom, friends, associates and well-wishers in celebrating the monarch’s sixteen years on the throne of his forefathers.

The organisation noted that the anniversary was not only a celebration of longevity but also a recognition of the monarch’s visionary leadership, dedication to service, and commitment to the progress of the kingdom.

According to the statement, since ascending the throne sixteen years ago, Oba Buhari has demonstrated wisdom, integrity, and compassion in the discharge of his royal responsibilities, fostering peace and social harmony across the community.

OYDEEP praised the traditional ruler for preserving the rich cultural heritage of Omupo while embracing initiatives that promote development and social transformation.

The organisation further commended the monarch’s support for education, youth development, and community participation, noting that his leadership has inspired a generation of young people to embrace responsibility, patriotism, and service to society.

“As an organisation committed to empowering young people through digital innovation and economic opportunities, we deeply value the support and encouragement of the traditional institution under the leadership of His Royal Highness,” the statement read.

The group added that the monarch’s reign has demonstrated the crucial role traditional institutions play in advancing societal growth, preserving cultural values, and promoting sustainable development.

OYDEEP acknowledged the monarch’s contributions to fostering inclusiveness, strengthening communal bonds, and encouraging initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people of Omupo Kingdom.

The organisation also urged indigenes of Omupo, both at home and in the diaspora, to remain united and committed to the continued development of the kingdom.

It prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the monarch good health, wisdom, strength, and many more years of impactful leadership on the throne.

“May his reign continue to usher in greater peace, prosperity, growth, and unprecedented achievements for Omupo Kingdom,” the statement added.

OYDEEP concluded by expressing appreciation to the royal father for his years of service, guidance, and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of the community.
