The Harmony Movement has reaffirmed its confidence in the leadership of Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, while declaring its total support for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt. Hon. Engr. Salihu Yakubu Danladi (SYD).
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, the group’s leader, Mr. Olushola John Gbenga, alongside other members, said their endorsement was informed by Governor AbdulRazaq’s track record of inclusive governance, infrastructural development and commitment to promoting unity across the state.
According to the group, the governor’s administration has restored public confidence in government and strengthened cohesion among party members and residents of Kwara State.

The Movement described Engr. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, who currently serves as Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, as a competent, experienced and visionary leader capable of consolidating the achievements of the present administration.
They noted that his legislative experience, accessibility to the people and understanding of grassroots challenges position him as the ideal candidate to lead the state into a new phase of development.
The group further stated that the APC governorship primary election that produced Danladi as the party’s flagbearer was conducted in accordance with established party guidelines and reflected the will of stakeholders across the state.
According to the Movement, his emergence has reinforced the principle of fairness, inclusiveness and equitable representation through Kwara’s zoning arrangement, ensuring a sense of belonging for all regions of the state.
The group also described Danladi’s candidacy as a significant opportunity for youth inclusion in governance, noting that his age, vision and leadership style resonate with the aspirations of young people.
They expressed confidence that his administration would prioritize issues such as job creation, entrepreneurship, digital innovation, human capital development and improved infrastructure.
“This is not just about zoning; it is about entrusting the future of Kwara to a generation that is prepared to innovate, deliver results and build on the development strides already recorded under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq,” the group stated.
The Harmony Movement urged party members and supporters to disregard narratives capable of creating division within the APC, stressing that unity remains the party’s greatest asset ahead of future political contests.
The group pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts across wards, communities, youth groups and women organizations, particularly within Ifelodun Local Government Area and other parts of the state, to galvanize support for the APC and its governorship candidate.
It added that door-to-door campaigns, community engagements and sensitization programmes would be strengthened to communicate the party’s vision for economic growth, security and sustainable development.
The Movement expressed optimism that the emergence of Engr. Salihu Yakubu Danladi as governor would usher in greater prosperity, social inclusion and lasting peace across Kwara State.
The group concluded by calling on political stakeholders and party faithful to place the collective interest of the APC and the development of Kwara State above personal ambitions, stressing that unity and cooperation remain essential for the party’s continued success.
