Kwara United Football Club will depart Offa on Wednesday for Katsina State to participate in the 8th edition of the GUSAU/AHLAN Preseason Tournament, as the Harmony Boys intensify preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, THE PRIME NEWS reports.
The preseason competition is scheduled to kick off on Friday and is expected to provide Coach Ashifat Sulyman and his team with another competitive platform to fine-tune their tactics, assess players and build momentum ahead of the new league campaign.

Kwara United has been engaged in an intensive preseason programme over the past few weeks, beginning with a series of friendly matches in Ilorin against KFA, Excellence Football Academy and ECAS.
The team later relocated to Offa, where they continued their preparations with additional test matches against Offa FC and Laycon Football Academy.
As part of their build-up, the Harmony Boys also travelled to Ibadan for a high-profile friendly against Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), giving the technical crew another opportunity to evaluate the squad ahead of the new season.
The club believes participation in the GUSAU/AHLAN Preseason Tournament will provide quality opposition and the level of competition needed to adequately prepare the players for the challenges of the forthcoming NPFL season.
The tournament is expected to serve as the final phase of Kwara United’s preseason programme before the commencement of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League campaign, with the coaching crew hoping to build a strong and competitive team capable of making a positive impact in the new season.
