The National President of Ora Community Development Council (OCDC), Engr Azeez Abiodun Olaniyan has met with Ora indigenes residing in the diaspora and called for stronger collaborative efforts towards the socio-economic development of Ora Land.

The President made the call during his visit to London, United Kingdom, where he joined other dignitaries for the London Coronation Ceremony of His Royal Highness, Oba Rilwan Olawale Yekini Sakonbari I, the Olora of Ora Land.
The meeting, which brought together professionals, business owners and community leaders of Ora extraction in the UK and across Europe, focused on how to mobilize resources, skills and networks to fast-track development projects back home.

Engr Olaniyan emphasized that the progress of Ora Land depends on unity of purpose between those at home and those in the diaspora, noting that the diaspora remains a critical engine for investment, advocacy and global partnerships.

Speaking at the event to celebrate the new Olora, the OCDC President, Engr Azeez Abiodun Olaniyan described the coronation as a historic moment that symbolizes unity, cultural pride and renewed hope for Ora Kingdom.
He urged all Ora sons and daughters abroad to key into the vision of the new monarch by supporting initiatives in education, health, infrastructure and youth empowerment.

“Our Kabiyesi’s reign must be matched with concrete development. This can only happen when we work together as one family, home and abroad,” he stated.
The OCDC President reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to building a robust bridge between Ora indigenes at home and in the diaspora for sustainable development.
He called on all stakeholders to contribute ideas, expertise and funding towards projects that will uplift the standard of living in Ora Land.

Strict work schedules, distances and other unplanned activities hindered large participation of some UK members attendance.
However, the President played host to many Omo Olora in his London apartment.
Like many others, Alhaji Saheed Salami and Alhaji Hakeem Olawale “Kimson” also paid a courtesy visit to Engr. Olaniyan after a robust telephone conversation while congratulating Engr. Olaniyan on his new appointment and thanked him on behalf of all omo Olora in the UK and their readiness to continue to support OCDC towards the development of Ora Land.
