Poco Lee on remand in UK prison, court date set for September

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee is currently on remand in a United Kingdom prison, with his next court appearance scheduled for the second week of September, according to Nigerian-UK community advocate Oluomo of Derby.

Oluomo of Derby disclosed this in a post on X, saying he could confirm reports about Poco Lee’s arrest and current legal situation in the UK.

“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison,” he wrote.

He said Poco Lee’s next appearance would be a plea hearing, where the dancer is expected to indicate whether he intends to plead guilty or not guilty to the offence.

“His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” Oluomo of Derby said.

THE PRIME NEWS recalls that reports of Poco Lee’s alleged arrest in the UK surfaced on social media on Tuesday, August 18.

THE PRIME NEWS further recalls that fresh allegations by rapper Ms Jorji surfaced on Wednesday, August 19, in which she claimed that Poco Lee had attempted to sexually assault her and her friend.

Oluomo of Derby said he would attend the court proceedings as part of his support for the Nigerian community in the UK.

He urged the public to allow the legal process to take its course.

“It is important that we allow the legal process to take its course. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” he said.
