Wale Sulaiman congratulates AbdulRazaq on Sardauna title, hails landmark projects

APC chieftain and Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun (FUHSI), Prof. Wale Sulaiman, CON, has congratulated Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, on his turbaning as the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate.

Governor AbdulRazaq was turbaned by the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.

In a congratulatory message issued on Wednesday, Prof. Sulaiman described the traditional honour as a fitting recognition of AbdulRazaq’s leadership, public service and contributions to the development of Kwara State.

He commended the administration’s investments in healthcare, education, infrastructure, economic development and human capital, saying the initiatives had contributed to creating opportunities for residents and strengthening the state’s development foundation.

Sulaiman particularly highlighted the commissioning of two major projects by Vice President Kashim Shettima as part of activities marking the governor’s turbaning.

The projects are the Kwara Garment Factory, a flagship industrial initiative projected to create more than 4,000 direct jobs at full capacity, and the 11-storey Kwara Revenue Service building, which serves as the headquarters of the state’s internal revenue service.

According to him, the Revenue House was constructed through savings from consultancy fees that would otherwise have been paid to external revenue consultants.

The university don said the projects demonstrated the administration’s focus on industrialisation, employment generation, institutional efficiency and economic expansion.

He also commended other development initiatives across the state, including investments in healthcare and education, road infrastructure, the Ilorin Innovation Hub, International Conference Centre and Visual Arts Centre.

Sulaiman said the projects were contributing to the expansion of economic and social opportunities for the people of the state.

He further applauded AbdulRazaq for assembling what he described as a capable team to translate the administration’s development agenda into tangible projects and programmes.

“His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, deserves commendation for his commitment to the development of Kwara State. His strategic investments are helping to create the foundation for greater economic opportunities and sustainable development.

“I sincerely congratulate him on this significant traditional honour,” he said.

Prof. Sulaiman congratulated the governor once again and prayed that Allah would continue to grant him wisdom, sound health, prosperity and the capacity to render greater service to the people of Kwara State and Nigeria.
