A foundation, the Grassroots Aid Initiative, has donated a motorised borehole in Gaa Saidu in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara.
The Founder of the foundation, Dr Kehinde Kadiri, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Ilorin that thencommunity needed urgent clean water supply.
She explained that the foundation received support and donations from the public to execute the water project.
According to her, this is the 20th motorised borehole the foundation is donating to communities across five states of the federation.
“I am thrilled to announce that we have reached our funding target for the Gaa Saidu Water Project, thanks to the incredible generosity of Nigerians.
“Nigerians have empowered us to take another step forward. With the funds in place, we are now ready to roll up our sleeves and start working earnestly to execute the Gaa Saidu Water Project,” Kadiri said.
She said with the Gaa Saidu Water Project in place, the foundation would now beam its searchlight on another community based on the humanitarian objective of the NGO.
