Kwara United Youth Team forward, Muhammed Abdullahi, came to Nigeria’s rescue on Thursday with a crucial 84th-minute header to secure a 1–1 draw against Ghana in their Group B opener at the WAFU B U-20 Championship.
Abdullahi’s late equalizer capped off a strong performance and justified his recent national team call-up. The talented striker caught the attention of national selectors following his outstanding showing at the inaugural National Youth League Super 8 held in Lagos.
His impressive form at club level has now translated onto the international stage, giving Coach Aliyu Zubairu’s side a valuable point in their quest for a semi-final spot.

Kwara United fans and Nigerian football followers will be eager to see more of Abdullahi as the tournament progresses.
