The Honorable Commissioner for Tertiary Education in Kwara State, Hajia Sa’adatu Moddibo Kawu has charged the 2nd induction/Oath taking CHEW & JCHEW graduates at a joint programme held at the College of Health Technology, Offa in collaboration with North South College of Health Technology, Ajase-Ipo on Thursday, 10th July, 2025 at the College of Health Technology, Offa to be the best in their chosen career, uphold all ethical standards of the profession, be good ambassadors and highly responsible at all times.
“Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, the Visitor to the College is stoically committed to providing an enabling environment for teaching, learning & research work in all the State institutions”, she noted.
Speaking, the Provost of College of Health Technology, Offa, Elder Benjamin Ayanshola acknowledged the State Government for being on ground to attend promptly to the college needs, particularly, he eulogized the Honorable Commissioner for Tertiary Educations, Hajia Sa’adatu Moddibo Kawu for being proactive, committed and progressive in Advancing Tertiary Education in the State. He urged inductees to fill the gap in Child Healthcare, combating diseases and remain committed to their profession while improving the community they will serve.

Alhaji Abdulganiyu Bolaji who represented the Registrar/CEO Alhaji Bashir Idris Ja’ama of Community Health Practitioner Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) charged inductees to wear their uniforms with dignity, speak with Knowledge, Serve with Commitment above all, “protect life especially that of the mother, the infant by using the National Standards and Knowledge acquired”. He charged State Governments to employ the CHEW and JCHEW as a matter of policy, “they are to fill in the gaps, as healthy community depends on well-trained and passionately motivated community health practitioners.
A lecture was delivered by Adeyemi, Titus Friday of the University of Medical Sciences, Faculty of School of Public Health, Department of Community Health Sciences Ondo State, THEME: “Empowering a New Generation of Community Health Practitioners for sustainable Primary Healthcare and National Development”.
He emphasized implementation of policies that support the role of Community Health Practitioners, ensuring they have the necessary resources, recognition, and support to deliver quality health services so that practitioners can promote health education, diseases prevention thereby promote national development reduce poverty and improve overall well-being.
Over two hundred (200) students from both institutions took the Oath, were inducted and presented with their certificates and licenses by the Registrar Community Health Practitioner Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).
The HOD Community Health Department, College of Health Tech, Offa, Mrs. Christianah Olawumi Bamidele, integrity and diligence personified, expressed her satisfaction with the successful completion of the programme and conduct of graduands, “the inductees has toiled day and night to arrive the port of success by making today’s programme an epoch making event, they can compete favorably with their counterparts anywhere in the country, the Community Health Scholar assured.
