Greater Kwara Foundation visits orphanage homes, donates food items in Ilorin

The Greater Kwara Foundation on Wednesday visited several orphanage homes across the Ilorin metropolis, donating food items and sharing love and kindness with vulnerable children in the spirit of the New Year celebration.

Speaking during the outreach, the Founder of the foundation, Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi Tajudeen, commended caregivers for their dedication to the welfare of vulnerable children despite prevailing economic challenges. He urged well-meaning individuals and organizations to support initiatives aimed at improving the lives of the less privileged.

Dr. Alabi said the foundation is driven by a vision to empower and uplift the underprivileged by providing equitable access to education, advancing personal development, promoting inclusivity, and breaking the cycle of poverty and illiteracy.

“They need to feel loved. These children do not deserve to be isolated simply because they do not have parents. Our goal is to make a positive impact in their lives and give them hope for a brighter future,” he said.

At Olufolake Safe Haven, under the Ministry of Women Affairs, the Director of Women Development and Officer-in-Charge, Hajia Idris Nike Medinat, expressed appreciation to the Greater Kwara Foundation and the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. She noted that such donations help the facility remain operational amid rising costs.

Similarly, the Officer-in-Charge of the Children Reception Centre, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin, Mrs. Durojaye Olawumi, expressed happiness with the foundation’s gesture and prayed for continued growth and success for the management and team of the Greater Kwara Foundation.

During another visit to the City of Refuge F & G Orphanage Home along Pipeline Road, Ilorin, the Director, Precious Ajayi, also appreciated the foundation and offered prayers for the donor, wishing him success and the fulfillment of his heart’s desires.

At the Takasko Life Care Initiative, located on King Step Street, Budo-Ode/Ita Elepa Community, Ilorin, the Matron, Mrs. Balogun Mojishola, thanked Dr. Alabi for the kind gesture and prayed for greater opportunities and higher achievements for him and the foundation.

The outreach underscores the Greater Kwara Foundation’s commitment to humanitarian service and its continued efforts to bring hope, care and support to vulnerable children across Kwara State.
