Tinubu at 74: PWS hails President’s Renewed Hope Legacy

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governorship aspirant in Kwara State, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, describing him as a statesman whose leadership journey exemplifies progressive politics in Nigeria.

In a statement marking the occasion, Prof. Sulaiman commended the President’s decades of service, noting that his transition from pro-democracy activism to national leadership reflects courage, vision, and a steadfast commitment to Nigeria’s development.

He said the Tinubu administration has demonstrated bold and purposeful leadership through key reforms and policies under the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at repositioning the nation’s economy and strengthening governance structures.

According to him, since assuming office in 2023, the President has embarked on far-reaching economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies and the unification of the foreign exchange system—measures he said are geared toward stabilising the economy, enhancing fiscal credibility, and attracting investment.

He also commended the Federal Government’s focus on expanding opportunities in key sectors such as agriculture, transportation, digital technology, and energy, noting that these initiatives are laying the foundation for sustainable economic growth and long-term national prosperity.

Prof. Sulaiman added that the Renewed Hope Agenda has placed priority on national security, human capital development, youth empowerment, and social investment programmes aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerians and strengthening the nation’s economic resilience.

The APC chieftain also praised President Tinubu for his boldness in taking difficult but necessary decisions to reset Nigeria’s economic structure and restore confidence in public finance management.

“Your Excellency’s leadership has shown that nation-building requires courage, discipline, and a long-term vision for prosperity. Your commitment to progressive governance continues to inspire a new generation of leaders,” Prof. Sulaiman stated.

He further described President Tinubu as a political strategist and nation-builder whose contributions to Nigeria’s democratic evolution remain significant, particularly in strengthening progressive politics and democratic institutions.

Prof. Sulaiman commended the Federal Government’s increased investment in education, including a record allocation of over ₦3.5 trillion to the sector in the national budget to improve infrastructure, enhance research capacity, and strengthen teaching and learning across institutions.

The APC chieftain also applauded the administration’s renewed focus on technical and vocational education, noting that the government has begun revitalizing technical colleges and expanding Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes to equip young Nigerians with practical skills needed for employment and entrepreneurship.

In addition, Prof. Sulaiman referenced the government’s digital skills initiative, the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Programme, which aims to train three million Nigerians in digital and technical competencies to prepare the country for the evolving global knowledge economy.

Prof. Sulaiman prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and strength for the President as he continues to lead Nigeria toward greater economic stability, national unity, and sustainable development.
