FULL LIST: Top seven best-paying European countries after tax

FULL LIST: Top seven best-paying European countries after tax

Across Europe, salaries can look impressive on paper, but what truly matters is how much workers actually take home after taxes.

A recent analysis drawing on data from Eurostat, reported by Euronews and cited by THE PRIME NEWS on Friday, reveals a striking gap between countries.

At the top of the list sits Luxembourg, where workers enjoy the highest net salaries in Europe.

Thanks to a combination of strong wages and a favorable tax structure, employees there earn close to €50 per hour after deductions—far ahead of most of the continent.

Close behind are the Nordic economies. In Iceland, Norway, and Denmark, high gross salaries offset relatively heavy taxes, leaving workers with some of the strongest take-home pay in Europe.

These countries show that even with higher taxation, robust economies can still deliver excellent net incomes.
