Prof. Wale Sulaiman commends Gov. AbdulRazaq over elevation of 10 monarchs

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governorship aspirant in Kwara State, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, has lauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the elevation of ten traditional rulers in the state to First-Class status.

In a statement, Prof. Sulaiman described the move as a strategic step toward strengthening the traditional institution and enhancing its role in governance and community development across Kwara State.

He noted that traditional rulers remain critical stakeholders in grassroots leadership, peacebuilding, and cultural preservation, adding that the elevation would further empower them to contribute meaningfully to stability and development at the community level.

The APC chieftain congratulated the newly elevated monarchs, including the Oloro of Oro, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II; the Elesie of Esie, Oba Yakub Agboola Babalola Edunjobi II; the Olojoku of Ojoku, Oba Abdulrazaq Adegboyega Afolabi Iyiolasemi III; the Onipe of Ipee, Oba Mufutau Adebayo Lawal Titiloye III; and the Onijagbo of Ijagbo, Oba Sharafadeen Adeniyi Buhari Babalola.

Others are the Olusin of Ijara-Isin, Oba Ajibola Ademola Julius Iluyomade I; the Owalobo of Obbo-Aiyegunle, Oba Samuel Adelodun; the Elekan of Ekan, Oba David Adekunle Olaniyan; the Olota of Odo-Owa, Oba Joshua Oluwatoba Adegbuyi Aniyeloye II; and the Obajisun of Ayedun, Oba Olusegun Abayomi Tayelolu Rotimi.

Prof. Sulaiman described the elevation as well-deserved, noting that the monarchs have demonstrated strong leadership and contributed significantly to peace, unity, and development within their domains.

He also commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his continued commitment to promoting the welfare and dignity of traditional rulers, stressing that strengthening the institution is key to achieving sustainable grassroots governance.

The professor further prayed for wisdom, good health, and a successful reign for the newly elevated monarchs as they continue to lead their communities and preserve their cultural heritage.
