The Kwara State Monarch, Oloota Odo Owa, Oba Joshua Oluwatoba Adegbuyi Adeyemi Adimula, once predicted to die on the third day of his ascension, has been elevated to 1st Class Status.
It is recalled that the monarch, through soothsayers, was foretold to join his ancestors three days after his coronation, yet he has remarkably spent 11 years on the throne and continues to reign.

Oloota Odo Owa once faced the grim prospect of a death sentence that ominously loomed over his future. This harrowing chapter in his life unfolded during a tumultuous era marked by political unrest and social upheaval.
As tensions escalated within the community, accusations were hurled against him, painting a picture of a leader embroiled in controversy.
However, through a combination of shrewd diplomacy, unwavering support from his loyal subjects, and perhaps a touch of divine intervention, he managed to navigate the treacherous waters that threatened his very existence.
Recently, the king, who defied expectations to die on the third day of his ascension, has been elevated to the most exalted class of Oba in the Yoruba race by the executive Governor of the state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The stool of Oloota was upgraded to first class from second class among several other Obas in the state.
Emerging from the shadows of near-execution, Oloota Odo Owa ascended to the esteemed position of a 1st Class Oba, a title that not only reflects his royal lineage but also symbolizes the triumph of resilience over adversity.
His journey from the brink of death to the pinnacle of leadership serves as an inspiring testament to the strength of the human spirit and the profound impact of community solidarity.

Oba Adimula, while speaking to the press, expressed gratitude to the executive Governor for considering his elevation and fulfilling the dream of the Odo Owa people.
It is important to note that the Odo Owa community has repeatedly appealed to the state government to upgrade the Oloota’s stool to first class, aiming to match his peers.
The monarch thanked the governor for realizing the dream of First Class Status after several years, praying that God will continue to bless him and members of his cabinet.
Oloota vowed to continue supporting Governor AbdulRazaq’s developmental programs aimed at improving the lives of the citizens.

He also extended his appreciation to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development for conducting the upgrade in a well-organized manner.
The monarch pledged to actively use his new status to benefit the community and promote further innovative projects in Odo Owa, urging the sons and daughters of Odo Owa to unite in peace and harmony for the progress of the ancient town.
He noted that God has answered their long-standing prayers and granted them the class of Oba they deserve, calling the Governor a divine blessing and acknowledging the community’s eternal gratitude.
Oloota also congratulated his peers who were similarly upgraded to first class, praying for them to have the health and wealth to enjoy their new positions.
