Monitor your children/wards in schools – Ilorin Emirate Secretary task parents

The Ilorin Emirate Secretary, Alhaji Sunmail Adetunji Lawal has urged parents, caregivers, guardian and peoples saddled with the responsibilities of caring for children, students, pupils to monitor this God’s gift in their care and most importantly in higher institutions.

“As these children return to school to complete the session, it’s imperative to create time to watch carefully over them. These days children seems too stubborn to control because of social media/handset/ICT and other gadgets that aids communication.

As parents, we must take extra-time to monitor them properly”, the Secretary emphasized.

The Administrator emphasized discipline must be instilled and re-awakened in the nation’s higher institution as a policy, saying, “The first place of training and discipline is the home”.

He frowned at parents leaving the care of their children to teachers/lecturers/knowledge impactors/guardian.

Alhaji Adetunji Lawal stated that, “it’s true that teachers and parents are expected to jointly bring up students/children/pupils with sound moral character, but the fact remains that teachers/lecturers cannot handle students/pupils like their biological children.

“A well trained child is what every parent prays for, hence, the need to be attentive to our children remains sacrosanct because bad habit cut off in time will save parents from lifetime sorrow”.

The Emirate Secretary preached Islamic/Western education for the children with skill acquisition, “this will make them busy and gainfully employed in near future”, he advised.

He appreciated the parents that are up and doing in taking good care of their children in all ramifications, he said, the economic recession is biting harder and priorities must be set clearly in running the affairs of the family, definitely, “the children comes first in all arrangements he prayed that Almighty Allah will continue to provide for our needs, according to its riches in glory”, Alhaji Sunmail Adetunji Lawal, Ilorin Emirate Secretary concluded.
