APC governorship aspirant in Kwara State, Prof Wale Sulaiman, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic road accident that claimed the lives of several health workers from Ekiti Local Government Area on May 1, as they returned from Workers’ Day celebrations.
In a condolence message, Prof Sulaiman described the incident as devastating, noting that the loss extends beyond the victims’ families to the entire Ekiti LGA, the health sector and Kwara State as a whole.
He said the deceased were committed professionals whose contributions to community healthcare and public service would be remembered.

He extended his sympathies to the Executive Chairman and staff of Ekiti Local Government, particularly the health department, as well as to the bereaved families and loved ones of the victims.
He also commiserated with the Kwara State Government over the tragedy.
Prof Sulaiman prayed for the repose of the departed souls and asked God to grant their families the strength to cope with the loss. He also wished those injured in the accident a speedy recovery.
While mourning the victims, he called for greater attention to road safety measures to prevent similar occurrences, emphasising the need to safeguard workers who dedicate their lives to public service.
