Eid-el-Adha: Wale Sulaiman urges Muslims to pray for Nigeria, support the less privileged

A leading chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and renowned neurosurgeon, Professor Wale Sulaiman, CON, has felicitated with Muslims across the world, particularly those in Kwara State and Nigeria, on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Adha celebration.

Prof. Sulaiman, in his Eid message, called on the Muslim Ummah to reflect on the virtues of sacrifice, compassion, tolerance and service to humanity as exemplified in the teachings of Islam.

He urged Muslims to use the sacred Day of Arafat and the Eid period to pray for peace, unity and divine intervention for Nigeria, especially at a time the country continues to face security and socio-economic challenges.

According to him, national progress and transformation require collective commitment, sincere prayers and responsible leadership at all levels.

“Islam remains a religion of peace, love, tolerance and unity.

The teachings and character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his spirit of tolerance, compassion and coexistence during the historic migration to Madinah, remain timeless examples for Muslims and humanity at large,” he stated.

The APC stalwart stressed the importance of peaceful coexistence among Nigerians irrespective of religious, ethnic or social differences, noting that societies flourish when people embrace unity and compassion.

Prof. Sulaiman also encouraged Muslims to celebrate Eid-el-Adha in moderation by extending kindness to neighbours, supporting the less privileged and remembering vulnerable members of society during the festive period.

He further prayed for sustained peace, stability and development across the country, expressing optimism that Nigeria would overcome its present challenges through unity, faith and purposeful leadership.

“May Allah (SWT) accept our sacrifices, answer our prayers and continue to bless Kwara State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria with peace, stability and sustainable progress,” he added.

The renowned neurosurgeon also wished Muslims worldwide a peaceful and fulfilling Eid-el-Adha celebration.
