IAC – well positioned to deliver on its mandate – Rector

The Rector of International Aviation College (IAC), Ilorin, Captain Yakubu Okatahi, said, “is well positioned to deliver on its mandate with the active support of Kwara State Government in the last few years”.

He made this known in a brief media chat in his office with the press on Wednesday.

He said, “with active support of the Chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) & the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), “we have maintained a striking balance in general administration and recorded loads of achievements”.

This led to our 96% audit report by Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), after thorough report that revealed that we have attained International Standard (Benchmark) in training/technical activities with effective general administration.

The Aviation renowned expert emphasized total commitment of his management team and staff of the college that made the achievements possible, while appreciating the supervision ministry – tertiary as effective locomotive train between the college and Ahmadu Bello Government House.

Captain Okutahi said “we have graduated over fifty (50) pilots from the College with instructors receiving training and re-training in their specialized fields to improve dissemination of specialized training/skills to students.

He said further, “the state government subvention is regular and funds are made available for purchase of spare parts/equipment’s and other critical items required to make the Hangar functional.

The College administrator commended discipline as required by their students and assured them that they will continue to receive qualitative training/field work/practical to make them compete favourably with their counter parts in any part of the world.
